Like all the best innovations, the Handy Line was borne out of necessity.
Its creator, Pat Roberts, was living in an apartment without a clothesline and needed to use an electric dryer to dry washing.
"I've never liked using dryers because they use so much energy, are not environmentally friendly, are expensive to run and ruin clothes." says Pat.
After searching in vain for a sturdy, lightweight fold-away clothesline that could hold a full washing load and be used indoors and outdoors, Pat decided to design one.
In 1995 Mrs Pegg's Products was established and the first design released. Since then it has found its way into thousands of homes throughout Australia, New Zealand, Hong Kong and the USA.
Pat did not rest on her laurels. She has continued to improve the design and operation of the line especially for ease of use.
This has led to the release of the exciting new model featured on this site.
Mrs. Pegg's Products Pty. Ltd. is based in Adelaide, South Australia. It is responsible for the manufacture, distribution, sales and support of the Handy Line.
