Will the Handy Line blow over in windy conditions?
The Handy Line has a unique stance and is very sturdy but common sense has to prevail as it is free standing. If it is very windy it is advisable to place the Handy Line in an enclosed area. If planning to go out, as weather conditions can change suddenly, it is advisable to place it in a protected area. On a normal breezy wash day it works well.
Can the Handy Line handle the extreme conditions we experience in Broome?
The Handy Line is built to handle tough weather conditions. It is designed for durability - every nut, bolt and washer is stainless steel, the main bar, cross bars and legs are powder coated (oven treatment) aluminium and the clothesline is pvc covered plaited fiber (not plastic coated wire) making the product weather and rust proof. The patent holder, Patricia Roberts, is still using the original prototype which is now over 10 years old and left out in the weather all year round, proving the quality and durability. The Handy Line is also used by people who travel and camp, such as owners of motorhomes.

How much line capacity does the Handy Line offer?

Can I use the Handy Line outdoors and indoors?
Yes, beyond a doubt. The Handy Line is designed to accommodate even a small room or balcony and will just as easily handle an outdoor verandah, patio, or deck. Also, it fits (especially the small model) in to most four wheel drives and campers.
Can the Handy Line be folded away when not in use, and if so, how?
The Handy Line folds away flat for easy storage. It can be stored behind a door, on a closet , in the bathtub and many other small spaces. It can also be stored in many vehicles for use on your trips. Refer to usage instructions.

Is the Handy Line heavy?
The Handy Line without laundry on weighs just 3kg (large) and 2.6kg (small). It can be carried in one hand by most people.
Is it possible to re-tension the lines?
Yes, this can be easily done by undoing the knot at the end of the cross bar and gently pulling the line through making sure you don't pull too tightly.
